The joint stock company ACD Systems International is a global company headquartered in Victoria (British Columbia), Canada and an office in the United States.

History

The company was founded in 1993. Originally developed programs for the CD -ROM cataloging, but the development of JPEG decoders and picture viewers turned to more.

Since then, the company worked his way up to a major software company in Canada. It supplies its own account schools, government agencies and the 500 key enterprises with the developed of their software.

ACDSee is a popular image viewing and management program, developed by ACD Systems. It was first released as shareware, then as a buy-back program. The program has over 25 million users worldwide.
