Aceguá is located in the department of Cerro Largo city in eastern Uruguay.
Geography
It is located in the north of the department near the Arroyo de la Mina on the border with Uruguay's neighboring Brazil and the Brazilian town of the same name located there Aceguá. A few kilometers south of the city lies Isidoro Noblía.
History
Law No 10.101 Aceguá was recorded on December 23, 1941 as " Pueblo ". On 14 April 1986 the town by law Nr.15.810 got the status " villa" awarded.
Population
Aceguá has 1,511 inhabitants, of which 731 male and 780 female. (As of 2011)
