ACF Gloria Bistrița

Gloria Bistrita is a Romanian football club based in Bistrita. He plays in the second Romanian football league, the League II The association could never be Romanian champions, but won the 1994 Romanian Cup.

History

The club was founded on July 6, 1922 under the name Clubul de Fotbal Gloria Bistrita 1922. Until the early 1950s, the club was able to achieve any significant success. In 1950, the club was renamed in 1922 in Bistrita Clubul de Fotbal Progresul, 1958, he was back naming Clubul de Fotbal GLORIA 1922 Bistrita.

In 1957, the club was relegated to the second Romanian league. 1962 denied the team 's first international match against Metropol, a team from Brazil, which, however, was lost with 0:2. By 1975, the club often rose up and down between the second and third division, then the team played for 15 years continuously in the second division.

From 1990 to 2011, the club played in Liga 1, the highest Romanian league. On 27 June 2005 Ioan Sabău was committed as a coach, under whose leadership the team in the season 2006/ 07 Place reached six and played in the UEFA Intertoto Cup. There, the club failed in the third round on the away goals rule, the top Spanish club Atlético Madrid. After the 7th round of the 2009/10 season the head coach Sandu was released Tăbîrcă and replaced by Marian Pană, who had been soft in the winter break Marius Şumudică. This led Gloria to relegation before moving to Rapid Bucharest. His successor Laurentiu Reghecampf remained at the beginning of the season 2010/11 until the 12th game day, before he was replaced by Nicolae Manea.

During the 2010/11 season, the Romanian Football Federation completed the licensing criteria for the league 1 to a clause providing for the debts freedom of an association against the Romanian state. Gloria Bistrita was subsequently withdrawn on 31 May 2011 in the first instance the license, although the league had been athletic ensured.
