Achim Glückler

Achim Glückler ( born August 10, 1964 in Maulbronn ) is a former German football player.

Career

Glückler comes from Muehlacker, he played several matches for various youth teams of the DFB and played in the youth of VfB Stuttgart. In the championship season in 1983/84, the striker came in a 5-1 win against 1 FC Kaiserslautern to a short stint, as he came off the bench with the score at 4-0 in the 81st minute for Hermann Ohlicher.

In the summer of 1984 Glückler moved to Karlsruher SC, for whom he once met in nine Erstligapartien. In a game of KSC against 1.FC Cologne Glückler overcame the former goalkeeper Harald " Toni" Schumacher. At the end of the season jumped for Karlsruhe out only the 17th place in the standings, so had to Glückler with the club in the second division. There he played two more times for the Karlsruher.

After two years in Baden Glückler moved to league rivals SSV Ulm 1846, who had managed the re-emergence from the Oberliga Baden- Württemberg. In two years, he came second division at the sparrows to 28 games in which five goals get him.

After re- descent of the club in 1988 Glückler disappeared from the scene of professional football. Reason was the serious injury ( tibia and fibula comminuted fracture with subsequent compartment syndrome ), which he had contracted in October 1987. Because of the injury Glückler threatened amputation and he had to undergo a long period of several operations over them. Nevertheless, he was a few years later worked with unterklassigen clubs, first at the PSG Pforzheim, the sports club Büchenbronn and the SV Oberderdingen.

From 2006 to 2010 Glückler worked for the county division side SV Horrheim as a coach. For the season 2010/11 he moved with his longtime assistant coach Thomas Aspiron for FV Bauer creek where he targeted the rise barely missed in the 2010/11 season in the B class with the 3rd place. The following season it ran better and the FV Bauer Bach wintered on the first place in the table. After injury-related failure of the Libero of the FVB Achim Glückler played with a respectable age of 47 years as player-coach at almost all the games from the start. On January 29, 2013 it was announced that Glückler will change in the 2013/2014 season as a coach for TSV Oetisheim.

Glückler also part of the tradition of the team VfB Stuttgart, where he takes part in charity matches. The professional football he followed from a critical distance out, professional Glückler is active in the real estate industry.
