Active Appearance Model

Active Appearance Model ( AAM ) refers to a process developed by Cootes, Edwards and Taylor methods of image processing, especially with the well can be characterized deformable objects such as faces or medical imaging of organs classes.

The Active Appearance Model is a further development of active contours ( snakes) and the Active Shape Model.
