Actus reus

As an actus reus ( Latin for guilty act ', also external element or objective element ) is called in the criminal law of England and Wales a precondition of criminal liability. As a positive precondition of criminal liability (as opposed to the defenses ), he describes all the crimes components which do not relate to the state of mind of the perpetrator to act; this is known as mens rea: " Actus non facit reum, nisi mens sit rea". What actus reus consists of practical, results from the respective criminal law ( statute law) or common law.
