Acura RDX (2006-2009)

The Acura RDX is a SUV belonging to Honda Acura brand. The vehicle was introduced in 2006 as a smaller complement to the Acura MDX. Construction is the model in the Marysville plant of Honda of America Mfg..

The vehicle is offered exclusively in North America, the drive with a comparatively small 2.3-liter turbo engine for local standards, is rather unusual - the competing models Infiniti EX and Lexus RX have the basic version with a 3.5 -liter naturally aspirated engine. On the consumption but this has no effect.

Despite the optical proximity and comparable dimensions, the RDX is limited related to the Honda CR-V. On the part of Acura is also stressed that the RDX is a crossover because it is not technically based on a car.

The RDX is equipped with an optional cited by Acura SH- AWD all-wheel drive, in which the force can be dynamically distributed both from front to back as well as between the sides. With this system, the outside wheel is also slightly more accelerated when cornering. The interior of the car is great practice.

For the 2009 Model introduced in August 2010, the RDX was visually slightly revised and adapted to the current design of all Acura models with the massive chrome grill. As part of this reform, the length of the vehicle grew slightly. Technical innovations did not exist, however.
