Ada Falcón

Aída Elsa Ada Falcon, or even Ada Falcón ( born August 17, 1905 in Buenos Aires, Argentina; † 4 January 2002 Salsipuedes, Argentina) was an Argentine tango dancer, singer and film actress of the twenties and thirties.

Life

Ada Falcon was born in 1905 in Buenos Aires, where she (the little Argentine jewel ) began working in the theater as an eleven year old under the name " La joyita argentina ". At the age of 13, she appeared in her first film, EL festin de Los Caranchos (1918 ) on.

They both worked in numerous musical performances as well as an actress in various theaters and in movies. 1925, created her as a soloist and the orchestra of Osvaldo Fresedo for Victor Records first tango recordings.

She became famous as a singer of Francisco Canaro, with whom she also had a turbulent romantic relationship. During this period, she produced more than 100 recordings as a tango singer. She lived very wealthy, loved luxury and furs, expensive jewelry and fame. From 1930 to 1942, she produced more than 200 recordings and was at the height of her artistic work. In 1934 she played a role in the film Idolos de la radio.

After a while she lived in seclusion and under simple conditions in a monastery in the hills of Córdoba ( Argentina). At the age of 96 years she died on 4 January 2002 in Buenos Aires and found their final resting place at the Cementerio de la Chacarita.

Documentary

Sergio Wolf is currently working on a documentary about her life. Since 1942, she had forbidden that the pictures are taken from her. In addition, they rarely gave interviews. Only in 1995 they gave the filmmakers an interview.
