Adad-shuma-iddina

Adad - šuma - iddina (pronounced Adad - Schumacher iddina, in Sumerogrammen: dIM -MU - SUM -na ), according to the King List A is the 31 rulers of the Kassite dynasty of Babylon and reigned six years. He was the successor of Kadašman - Harbe II and the predecessor of Adad - šuma - usur. There is no evidence of a relationship with Kadašman - Harbe II or the family of Kaštiliaš. He was deposed by a revolt of the Babylonians and IV replaced by a son of Kaštiliaš.

According to the Chronicle a P Elamite invasion took place under Kidin - Hudrudiš. Adad - šuma - iddina was perhaps only an Assyrian puppet under Tukulti - Ninurta I, but later Babylonian rulers agree to be lawful. It is unclear whether this is the Babylonians want to downplay the extent of the Assyrian domination or, conversely, the Assyrians emphasize their power inaccurate.
