Adam Freytag

Adam Friday ( Toruń * 1608, † 1650 in Kėdainiai, also Adammus Friday and Adam Freytag ) was a Polish military architect ( engineer) and physician.

Friday was by birth a Prussian. He stood first in the service of Sigismund of Poland Waladislaus and later moved on to the Netherlands. He received his doctorate in medicine and philosophy in Leiden and was later professor of mathematics in Kiejdany as well as the personal physician of Prince Janusz Radziwill. Considered together with Johann Wilhelm Dill ego as the main representative of the Old Dutch style for the defense of flat regions. Heusden was his idol.
