Ādaži

Ādaži ( German: New Mills ) is located a place and district center in Latvia, about 25 km north of the center of the capital Riga.

History

The Castle of New Mills is documented at least since 1204.

In New Mills took place in 1492, the Battle of New Mills, in which the German order, against the bishops of Riga came out as the protecting power of Livonia.

Today it is the biggest factory for potato chips in Latvia.
