Addictive (band)

Addictive was an Australian thrash metal band from Sydney, which was founded in 1988 and disbanded again in 1996.

History

The band was formed in 1988 and consisted of bassist and vocalist Greg Smith, the guitarist Joe Buttigiey and Mick Sultana, and drummer Matt Coffey. In the same year, the band released their first demo Ward 74 After the debut album was released the following year, came as the new drummer Steve Moore to fill. After that, the band recorded their second album, Kick ' Em Hard on with producer Bob Daisley. After some delay, the album was released in 1993. In 1996, the band broke up.

Style

The band plays classic Thrash Metal, which is described as a mixture of Dark Angel, Metallica and Testament, with the singing of James Hetfield recalls. Lyrically, the band treated themes such as alcoholism, mental health issues, as well as the destruction of the environment.
