Adem Kılıççı

Adem Kilicci ( born April 18, 1986 in Ağrı ) is a Turkish amateur boxer at middleweight.

Boxing career

Kilicci is 1,84 m tall and punches for Fenerbahçe SK in Istanbul. He was on the national level in 2006 and 2007 Turkish welterweight champion, and in 2010 Turkish champion at middleweight.

In the first World University Championships 2004 in Antalya, he won the silver medal in the welterweight division. He was inferior only in the finale the Ukrainian Serhiy Derewjantschenko 15:31 on points. In the 5th EU Championships in 2007 in Dublin, he was defeated in the semifinals of the French welterweight European vice-champion Xavier Noël 12:16 and thus won a bronze medal.

Another bronze medal in the welterweight, he won in November 2007 at the 14th World Championships in Chicago. He had it prevailed in the first round prematurely against the Japanese Yoshiyuki Hirano and beat in the second round Sherali Mamadalijew from Tajikistan significantly with 22:8. In the subsequent quarter-final, he defeated the Moldovans Vitaly Grusac 16:10 and thus the semi-finals, where he, however, the Americans defeated Demetrius Andrade 6:22.

By the third place at the World Championships, he qualified automatically for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, where he had to give, however, defeated in the first battle the Englishman Billy Joe Saunders 3:14. In November of the same year he also took part in the 37th European Championships in Liverpool, where he also within the first fight Eamon O'Kane from Ireland just going down to 6:7.

In the 16th Mediterranean Games in Pescara in 2009, he reached middleweight victories against Mariano Hilario from Spain ( Ko), Saïd Rashidi from Morocco (4-2 ) and Mathieu Bauderlique from France ( 13:4 ) the final, where he faced Rachid Hamani from Algeria 5:7 lost.

In addition, middleweight, he started at the 15th World Championships 2009 in Milan. In June 2013 Kilicci won the 17th Mediterranean Games in Mersin. He sat down beside it through against Frenchman Rachid Hamani, the Italian Luca Capuano and the Egyptian Hossam Bakr Abdin.
