Adiemus

Adiemus is a music project by the Welsh composer Karl Jenkins. In addition, Adiemus is also the title of a song composed by Karl Jenkins 1994 for a commercial American airline Delta Air Lines. It is represented on the album Songs of Sanctuary.

Music style

Karl Jenkins combines harmonious chorus and orchestra in an ethnic style, like Enya or Enigma. The " language" that is used here, is an invention of Jenkins and consists of imaginary syllables and words, so that the language can fade into the background and delivers the voice as an instrument in the foreground.
