Adiemus
Adiemus is a music project by the Welsh composer Karl Jenkins. In addition, Adiemus is also the title of a song composed by Karl Jenkins 1994 for a commercial American airline Delta Air Lines. It is represented on the album Songs of Sanctuary.
Music style
Karl Jenkins combines harmonious chorus and orchestra in an ethnic style, like Enya or Enigma. The " language" that is used here, is an invention of Jenkins and consists of imaginary syllables and words, so that the language can fade into the background and delivers the voice as an instrument in the foreground. In many dive on words that are very similar to the Latin or African languages. Often Adiemus is considered Celtic music or New Age. Exception is the album Adiemus V whose songs are rather jazzy.
Musician

In the first three albums, the music from the London Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO ) was recorded. Later Karl Jenkins Adiemus - founded an orchestra for the album The Eternal Knot, which was also the soundtrack for a six -part documentary about the Celts ( produced by the Welsh S4C, in Germany broadcast by Phoenix). For Vocalise he committed but again the LPO.
2000 Adiemus was covered by the techno DJ Mauro Picotto (title: Proximus (Medley with Adiemus ) ). Merry Christmas title Adiemus as a mixed choir on CD ( GESA music production, CD40263, 2008) - In 2008, the Chameleons Vocal Ensemble brought on the album Merry Xmas.
