The Admiral Gorshkov - class (Project 22350 ) is a principally new multi-role combat ship for the Russian naval fleet. It will have stealth features and be intended for ship, submarine and air defense and is to be used, among others, in the context of anti- terrorist operations.
The entire program is "at least 20 units, five per fleet " includes, according to Admiral Massorin.
Design
The basic design of the project lying 22350 was approved by the Russian Navy in 2005. Originally it was a 5800 ts displacing multipurpose frigate, which was equipped with Vertical Launching systems for anti-ship missiles and anti-aircraft missiles, a 130 -mm gun, three CIWS, on-board helicopters, sonar and towed sonar.
In order to reduce the radar signature, composite materials are used. The ferry with transom and stem sharp improve in conjunction with non-retractable stabilizers, the seaworthiness of the ship.
Propulsion plant
Project 22350 has a combined diesel and gas turbine propulsion M55R CODAG. The two drive diesel engines for cruising type 10D49 located in the rear engine room. The two switchable gas turbines M90FR are installed in the bow. Through the combination of diesel engines and gas turbines speeds of 15 knots ( cruising speed ) and 30 knots ( maximum speed) are possible.
Arming
On the foredeck there are two UKSK - Vertical Launching Systems. These each consisting of 8 cells. The cells can optionally be equipped with BrahMos -, P- 800 Jachont and Club -N missiles. For the Antiaircraft further 32 cells for 9M96 Redut are housed missiles before the UKSK containers in four blocks.
The artillery consists of a 130 mm -A- 192M gun and is controlled by the 5P -10 Puma fire control system. The maximum range of the gun is 23 km, the cadence of 30 rounds / minute. Depending on the ammunition used by land, sea and air targets can be combated.
For short-range defense Palasch two - CIWS serve on the hangar roof.
For submarine and torpedo defense are located on both sides in the fuselage package NK starters, each comprising four torpedoes. The detection of submarines made by a Sarija sonar and a low frequency towed sonar Winjetka. Goals are to be located by the sonar at 60 km.
A shipborne helicopter in a hangar complements the capabilities of the ship.
Construction
The keel of the first ship of the class 22350 on February 1, 2006 under the name Admiral Sergei Gorshkov Georgijewitsch ( in succession to the 1996 decommissioned aircraft carrier Admiral Flota Sowjetskowo Sojusa Gorshkov ) on the Severnaya Shipyard in Saint Petersburg. The frigate was launched in October 2010 and should be handed over in 2011, the Black Sea Fleet.
