Its function as a librarian then took the true Second Director Wolfgang Helbig, which led to a noticeable downturn in quality in this field. In addition to the Etruscan mirrors Klügmann researched the Roman Numismatics, to ancient mythology, especially Amazons, as well as to Greek vase painting. The Klügmann Painter got him his Notnamen.
