Adolph Kiefer

Gustav Adolph Kiefer (* June 27, 1918 in Chicago ) is a former American swimmer.

The son of German immigrants was at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin Olympic champion in the 100 m backstroke. During the Second World War he was involved in the training of the soldiers of the U.S. Navy and wrote a textbook about swimming. After the Second World War, he founded a company, its swimming pool products and accessories manufactures. In 1965 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport. Pine is indeed partially performed as the last living Olympic gold medalist of the Olympic Games of 1936. However, this is not accurate, because the water polo Olympic champion in 1936 Sándor Taric's is the oldest living Olympic champion ever.
