Adriaen van Gaesbeeck

Adriaen van Gaesbeeck ( baptized on August 22, 1621 in Leiden, buried on February 11, 1650 ) was a Dutch painter.

Adriaen van Graesbeeck was a pupil of Gerard Dou. Around 1646 he stayed for a short time in Amsterdam, where he is documented for July 1. In 1649 he was accepted into the painters' guild in Leiden. Just a year later he died. His rare pictures - he painted portraits, religious paintings and genre scenes - are close to his teacher Gerard Dou. His earliest known pictures date from the period 1645 /46.
