Adrián Chávez

Adrián Chávez (born 27 June 1962, Mexico City) is a former Mexican football player at the position of the goalkeeper. After his playing career, Chávez worked in the coaching staff of Antonio Carlos Santos, the playing in the second league farm team of the Tecos de la UAG supervised in the 2008 /09 season.

Adrián Chávez Ortiz began his professional career in the 1981/82 season with his hometown club Atlético Español, who after eleven years, the last stored this old fans vergraulenden name at the end of the season and adopted its original name Necaxa again. After four years at Atlético Español or Necaxa Chávez left the club and completed in the 1985/86 season a short-term stint at Club León. Then he returned to his hometown and was the next ten years at Club America under contract. With this club he has ever been twice champion and Mexican Supercup winner (1988 and 1989 ), won three times in the CONCACAF Champions ' Cup ( 1987, 1990 and 1992) and once ( 1991), the Copa Interamericana.

After leaving America in 1996 at the age of 36, he joined the club in an annual basis. In the season 1996/ 97 and goalkeeper at Atletico Celaya, he was in the seasons 1997/98 and 1999/ 2000 ( his last season) frequently reservist at his Exverein León and the second division Cruz Azul Hidalgo in the 1998/99 he contracted stood.

National

His debut in the dress of the Mexican national team celebrated Chávez on March 29, 1988 with 8-0 win against El Salvador. His last international game he played on January 26, 1994, when Mexico defeated with 1:5 against Switzerland.

Height of his national team career was participating in the Football World Cup 1994, in which he, however, was not used.
