Adriana Lima

Adriana Francesca Lima Jarić ( born June 12, 1981 in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil) is a Brazilian model and has made mainly as a model for Victoria's Secret an international name.

Life

Adriana Francesca Lima da Silva was born in Salvador da Bahia, the only child of Nelson Torres and Maria da Graça Lima. Her father left the family when she was six months old. She has two half-brothers.

Adriana Lima was discovered when she decided to join with a friend when modeling contest Brazil 's Ford Supermodel. At age 16, she won the modeling contest, which she, the Supermodel of the World Contest modeling agency Ford Models qualified for participation in the biggest modeling contest in the world. They kicked the 49 winners of each other at Ford Supermodel Contest and was finally to the Canadian Leanne Spencer Second.

1999, at the age of 18, she signed a contract with modeling agency Elite Model Management and moved to New York City.
