Features

The moths reach a forewing length 9.0 to 10.0 mm in males and females. Head, thorax, legs and abdomen are golden green or yellowish green. The probes have a medium- long combing, the last six to eight segments are platelet-like. The sensors consist of 36 to 38 segments. The front wing top is golden green lackluster. The rear upper wing surface is black -brown, the wing undersides are dark gray.

In the males, the dorsal Valven are longer and have a short triangular tooth-like appendage. This is located anteriorly halfway to the top. The aedeagus is long and slender and about eight times longer than broad; it is provided with a long, slightly sclerotized cornutus. At the base it is slightly curved, distally he is straight. The 8th Abdominalsternit is rectangular and covers only the rear part of the segment.

In females, the antrum is wide and a funnel-shaped at the base. The proximal part of the ductus bursae is long and has a smooth surface. He is well sclerotized and has a slender distal part. He is slightly bent, but not S-shaped. The corpus bursae is ovoid.

Similar Species

Adcsita geryon comes in many parts of northern and central Spain before sympatric with A. Bolivarian. Both types have an identical appearance and a similar habit and can only be distinguished genitalmorphologisch.

Dissemination

Adscita Bolivarian is endemic to Spain and missing there only in the northeast and the Pyrenees. The species colonized dry areas near pine forests or open, rocky steppe biotopes.

Biology

The biology of the species is unknown. It is thought that the caterpillars develop as the related species of sun Rösch species ( Helianthemum ). The moths fly in June and July.
