Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog is the German version of the two animated series Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog ( AoStH ) and Sonic the Hedgehog ( Sonic SatAM also ) of the Sonic franchises. Both American series date from the year 1993 and based on the video game Sonic the Hedgehog, in which it comes to a speedy blue hedgehog. Both series were edited into a German version under the name of Sonic the Hedgehog. The series was shown on cable 1 at Bim Bam Bino and on RTL II at Vampy.

Content
The action takes place on Sonic's home planet Mobius. The series describes with slapstick humor everyday between Sonic the Hedgehog and the scientist Robotnik who is trying to gain dominion over the planet. Sonic is assisted by his friend Tails, a fox with two tails that can fly with them. Sonic and Tails always manages to foil Robotnik's evil plans.

Sonic AoStH consists of a total of 66 episodes, of which 65 episodes are normal, while the last episode is a special episode. This was not broadcast on German television.
Sonic SatAM
Content
Sonic SatAM is the second Sonic series, which dealt with serious issues and a more exciting story unlike AoStH. It was created at the same time AoStH in the U.S., but has been united in the German version with this one of a series. There, Sonic fights along with freedom fighters against Robotnik. The series is strongly reminiscent of Sonic Underground because the atmosphere and the theme broadly the same. Since 2012, the series airs on the pay channel KidsCo separated from AoStH under the name of Sonic the blue hedgehog with a new synchronization and a German theme song. Sonic SatAM is unlike AoStH are only 26 episodes.
