Ady Berber
Ady Berber ( born February 4, 1913 in Vienna, † January 3, 1966 ibid; bourgeois Adolf Berbers out as Adi Berber ) was an Austrian freestyle wrestler and actor.
Life
The son of a restaurant and hotel owner turned to the ring sport and in 1937 in Chemnitz freestyle world champion professional wrestler. He won three times the European and the World Championship twice in catch-as - catch-can. In 1951, he finished his career Ringer.
Berber, which in Vienna on Mariahilfergürtel owned a restaurant since 1943, in 1936 his first film appearance. Due to its fearsome physiognomy, he was 195 cm tall and about 150 pounds in weight, he had to play villain roles in his films mostly.
Ady Berber, who had privately nothing in common with the negative personalities, he posed many times, was married and had three children. A month before his 53rd birthday, he died in Vienna at the consequences of cancer. He was buried at Vienna's West Cemetery.
