Adze (folklore)

Adze is a vampire, and a ghost with vampiric abilities which in the mythology of the Ewe, an ethnic group of West Africa (Ghana, Togo, Benin) has its origin.

The vampire is to take control over the victim in the situation. It sucks especially children from the blood, but is also known for coconut or palm oil to drink, which was therefore used for hunting or protection from him.
