History

The Aero HC -2 Heli Baby was designed by engineer Jaroslav Slechta and produced by the Czechoslovak company Aero Vodochody in the 1950s. It was the first in Czechoslovakia produced helicopter. The first flight took place on December 3, 1954. The plan was to begin series production in 1957, but delayed problems with the drive motor so. In 1959 he was one of the lightest two-seater helicopter in the world.

Construction

The helicopter has a three -blade main rotor and a two-bladed tail rotor. First, he was driven by a 83 hp (62 kW) Praga DH- piston engine (78 kW) was later replaced by the stronger Avia M 110H engine with 105 hp, which was developed specifically for use in helicopters.
