Aferdita Podvorica

Aferdita Podvorica ( born September 10, 1978 in Podujevo ) is a former Albanian football player. The striker played for the German Bundesliga 1 FFC Turbine Potsdam and Wolfsburg WSV.

Career

Aferdita Podvorica was born in belonging to Yugoslavia province of Kosovo. Through her father and her brother, she became interested in football, and they began to play football on the streets. In 1993, she emigrated with her family and moved to Berlin. In 1995 she transferred from the youth of the village to Marie Trotter FC SSV Turbine Potsdam. Between 2000 and 2002 she played for the WSV Wolfsburg, before returning to Potsdam. With 1 FFC Turbine Potsdam she was three times champion, three times Cup winners and once UEFA Women's Cup winners. After several injuries she ended her career in 2009 and is now team supervisor.

Aferdita Podvorica is a professional insurance broker. She is single and has two brothers.
