Afinia Gemina Baebiana

Afinia Gemina Baebiana was the wife of the Roman emperor Gallus Trebonianus. She lived in the 3rd century AD

About life Baebianas nothing is known. With Trebonianus Gallus she had the son Volusianus and probably a daughter, Vibia Galla.

After the elevation of Trebonianus Gallus Augustus Baebiana remained the title of Augusta denied. Whether it was because Baebiana was already dead, or because the Augusta Herennia Cupressenia Etruscilla was still alive and they wanted to avoid a precarious competition remains unclear.
