Agata Tuszyńska
Agata Tuszyńska ( born May 25, 1957 in Warsaw, People's Republic of Poland) is a Polish writer, poet and journalist.
Life
Tyszyńskas mother survived the German persecution of the Jews in the Warsaw ghetto. Agata joined the State Theatre Academy in Warsaw and received his doctorate from the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences. In the years 1987 to 1992 she was a lecturer at the Warsaw Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Until 1998, she was then a lecturer at the Centre for Journalism in Warsaw. Since 2001 she has taught courses for reportage and literature history at the University of Warsaw and since 2011 she is working on a documentary Institute in the Polish capital.
Your first steps of their career in the literature made Tuszyńska by writing articles about theater, about literature and biographies for cultural magazines. 1990 her first novel about the Warsaw actress Maria Wisnowska. This was followed, among others, a biography of the Nobel Prize winner Isaac Bashevis Singer.
Your 2010 published book The singer from the ghetto. The life of the Gran Wiera based on conversations that led Tuszyńska with Wiera Gran after in her Paris apartment before their demise in 2007. The book was controversial, as the singer from different sides of collaboration with the German occupying forces had been accused, after Gran had fought with Władysław Szpilman allegations against. This kolpierten allegations had Tuszyńska remove from the French translation. After further decisions of the courts in Hamburg, the German download version of the book was withdrawn from sale. More print editions are blackened on some pages .. A Warsaw District Court, in turn, has not objected to the 2013 book, as Tuszyńska have made it clear that they entertain serious doubts as to the quoted representation Grans.
Agata Tuszyńska also writes poems that have been published in six anthologies and translated into several foreign languages.
