The language Agatu (also North Idoma, North idomaisch or ochekwu called, ISO 639-3 is agc ) is a idomoide language that is spoken in Nigeria in the states of Benue and Nassarawa of over 70,000 inhabitants.
Agatu is heard within the West Benue - Congo languages , together with the languages Alago [ ala ], Idoma [ idu ], Igede [ owned ] and Yala [ YBa ] to the group of Idoma languages.
1984, the New Testament was published in Agatu.
