Agenzia Nazionale per la Sicurezza delle Ferrovie

The Agenzia per la Sicurezza Nationale delle ferrovie ( ANSF ) is the Italian Agency for the safety of the railway. Its headquarters are in Florence. On 16 June 2008 she started work. It is comparable to the Federal Railway Authority (EBA).

Legal framework

The legal basis is Article 4 of the Decree of 10 August 2007, No. 162 implementing Directive 2004/49/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004.
