Agora S.A.

Agora S. A. was founded in 1989 and is today one of the leading media groups in Poland. The Company has its registered office in Warsaw and has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and on the London Stock Exchange. The company owns publishing activities, including the publication of the liberal daily Gazeta Wyborcza, free sheet, such as Metro and several magazines. Through its subsidiary AMS Agora is one of the largest outdoor advertising company in Poland. The group includes 29, mostly local radio stations, including Tok FM, Roxy FM, Radio Złote Przeboje and Blue FM. For several years, the Internet will offer expanded dramatically. Besides the two large portals with their own editorial ( news portal Gazeta.pl and the entertainment and media streaming portal Tuba.pl ) include a number of other dependent portals or subdomains, such as Aaaby.pl (of Gazeta.pl ) or Gazetawyborcza.pl ( website of the daily newspaper ) to the portfolio.

The company operates the Foundation Pro Bono Publico.

Development

In 2005, the Agora was in response to the successful launch of the tabloid Fakt (Axel - Springer -Verlag) another daily newspaper, Nowy Dzień out. However, this title had to be discontinued because of lack of success in the reader - like display market after a few months.

In June 2007, was founded with the television producers ATM a company to produce video content for the Internet. In the same year, Agora Ukraine was founded to be operating in Ukraine as a publishing and the Internet.
