AgustaWestland Project Zero

Project Zero is an imagined at the Paris Air Show 2013 single-seater electric aircraft tiltrotor with the Italian manufacturer AgustaWestland.

Fitted with tilting coat flying wing propellers can purely battery - operated off and land vertically. In addition to the electric drive and a hybrid drive of the diesel engine and electric motor was developed. The plane is made of carbon fiber reinforced plastics and comes along without ( regarded as vulnerable ) hydraulics. As the company announced at Heli -Expo 2013 in Las Vegas, the futurist aircraft flew for the first time in June 2011. The outer wings can be removed, if emissions are present, which are carried out mainly in helicopter mode.

The development was a skunk works project in collaboration with SELEX Galileo, the patent will expire on James Wang.
