Ahmad Fuad Mohieddin

Ahmad Fuad Muhi ad-Din (Arabic: أحمد فؤاد محيي الدين ) or Ahmad Fuad Mohieddin (* 1926, † June 5, 1984 in Cairo ) was from 2 January 1982 to his death on June 5, 1984 Prime Minister of Egypt. He was a member of the National Democratic Party of Egypt.

Between 1968-1973 Muhi ad-Din was governor in the provinces Scharkia, Alexandria and Giza. He then resigned as Minister of Local Government in the Egyptian state government; In 1974 he became Minister of Health. He also belonged to the Egyptian Parliament, where he was Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee. In 1978 he was appointed by President Anwar al-Sadat as Deputy Prime Minister, before in 1982 he took over the post of prime minister, which had been previously occupied his cousin Zakaria Mohieddin. Shortly after he had scored with his party in the parliamentary elections of 1984 a great success, he died at his desk in his study of a heart attack.
