Geographical Location

Maple is located about 400 m above sea level. NN height on one of the highest points in the Main- Tauber district in the eastern land.

History

On 1 December 1971, the municipality of Maple was founded through the merger of the former municipalities Eubigheim (including Obereubigheim ), book on Maple and High City. After section 1936 Schwarzenbrunn had already been incorporated. It was named after the 2,000 -acre maple forest. 1973, the hamlet was incorporated Neidelsbach after a vote of the population. 1 January 1975 maple was united by the municipal reform law with the community Berolzheim, at the same time Schilling city was incorporated into the new church.

Since its foundation in 1973 the church belongs to the Main- Tauber-Kreis at ( 1973-1974 Tauber circle). Berolzheim was first mentioned in documents in 1050. First royal estate belonged Berolzheim from the 15th century to the Electorate of Mainz, where it belonged to the district of Tauberbischofsheim. Traffic

Maple has the same connection point to the Federal Highway 81 (Würzburg -Stuttgart ), for the northern districts and another with the name Boxberg in Berolzheim. In the district Berolzheim the federal highway 292 ( Mosbach- Lauda- Königshofen ) crosses the municipality and combines it with Tauberfranken and the Odenwald.

The train station in Eubigheim is located on the franc train (Stuttgart -Würzburg ) with the connection to the regional traffic.

Education

Maple has since the mid- 1970s on a common primary and secondary school with Werkrealschule in the district Eubigheim, the " learning style maple ". The Learning House is one of 34 starters schools that will be starting in the school year 2012/ 2013, the first joint Baden-Württemberg schools. Previously Berolzheim, book and Schillingstadt had also their own primary schools. The community has organized ecclesiastically four kindergartens, two Protestant and Roman Catholic.
