Ai Shite Knight

Rock ' n ' Roll Kids (Japanese愛してナイト, Ai shite naito, dt " love me [ my ] knight " ) is a completed manga series of Japanese illustrator Kaoru Tada, which was implemented as anime. The story about the private experiences of a young band is assigned to the shōjo genre and is aimed primarily at teenage girls.

Manga

Rock ' n ' Roll Kids was released in Japan from 1981 to 1984 in separate chapters in the manga magazine Margaret Bessatsu of Shueisha Publishing. These individual chapters were also summarized in seven anthologies.

Anime

The anime studio Toei produced on the basis of the manga an anime series with 42 episodes of 24 minutes, which aired from March 1983 to January 1984 on Japanese television. It was directed by Osamu Kasai.

In German Rock ' n ' Roll Kids was shown the early 1990s on RTL 2. 1994, a VHS tape with three episodes ( Episode 25, 36 and 37) has been released.

In September 2010, a German -language DVD box appeared in anime universe with all 42 episodes.
