Aidan Devine

Aidan Devine (* in England, United Kingdom; Aidan Devin ) is a British- Canadian actor.

Life and achievements

Devine was born in England and spent his childhood there. His father was a doctor. When he was fifteen years old, the family moved to the Nation's capital, Ottawa. At eighteen, he went to Montreal. There he was trained at the Dome Theatre School for Actors. He then joined about ten years at the theater. The mid-1990s he moved to Toronto and turned his attention increasingly to the film.

Over his twenty year career, he is mainly seen in television productions. Overall, he played more than 70 roles in front of the camera, for example in the movie Love and Human Remains (1993 ) by director Denys Arcand with Thomas Gibson. In excellent with different prices TV movie Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows ( 2001) with Judy Davis and Victor Garber Devine presented a supporting role dar. In 2001, he had a guest role in four episodes of the final season of dramatic spy series Nikita and was as enemy agent Graff of the opponent of the two main characters, played by Peta Wilson and Roy Dupuis. His other film credits include the Drama Caught in the eternal ice - The Story of the Dr. Jerri Nielsen ( 2003) by director Roger Spottiswoode with Susan Sarandon, the thriller Cold Creek Manor - The House on the River (2003) by Mike Figgis with Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone and A History of Violence (2005) by David Cronenberg with Viggo Mortensen.

Devine won two Gemini Awards, namely in 1997 as Best Actor for Net Worth ( directed by Jerry Ciccoritti ) and in 1998 as Best Supporting Actor for The Arrow ( directed by Don McBrearty ). He was nominated for this award in 1995 for Dieppe and twice in 2003 for Scar Tissue and for 100 Days in the Jungle, each as Best Supporting Actor. 2002 Devine was honored at the Festival Yorkton Short Film & Video Best Actor for Reunion.
