The Aida Stella is a cruise ship in the British-American Carnival Corporation & plc. It is used for driving under the specially focused on the German market corporate brand AIDA Cruises. It is operated under the Italian flag by the Carnival subsidiary Costa Crociere SpA in Genoa.

The ship was built at Meyer Werft in Papenburg, last modified construction of the Sphinx class.

History

Procurement and construction

For the expansion of its brand AIDA Cruises, Carnival Corporation & plc at the Meyer -Werft another ship of the Sphinx class was commissioned on August 12, 2010. The overall seventh ship of this type of construction and the fourth, whose construction plans have been expanded over the lead ship Aida Diva with an additional half a deck. The price was, according to the company at 330 million euros. On 25 January 2013, the Aida Stella was undocked. On the night of February 9, 2013 the transfer of the Aida Stella on the Ems from Papenburg to Emden began. Use

The maiden voyage started in northern Europe on March 17, 2013 immediately after the baptism. The first season was the Stella Aida in the north and took off from Hamburg to two-week cruises. Cabins and onboard facilities

The cabins, deck floor plans and equipment of Aida Stella are based on the previously realized ships of the modified "Sphinx " class.
