Aiko Nakamura

Aiko Nakamura (Japanese中 村 蓝 子, Nakamura Aiko, born December 28, 1983 in Tennoji -ku, Osaka ) is a Japanese tennis player.

Career

Nakamura, who prefers to play on hard and grass courts, began at the age of five years with the sport of tennis. In November 1998, she played her first ITF tournament, she became a professional player in 1999.

Four tournament victories in singles and three in doubles she has so far recorded on the ITF Circuit in itself. In 2006, she reached the final of the Japan Open in Tokyo, but had the Frenchwoman Marion Bartoli in three sets 6:2, 2:6, 2:6 beaten. In 2008, she was standing there in the doubles final.

In 2011 she failed both at the Australian Open and in Paris in qualifying. At Wimbledon, they do not even stepped on. She could not win a tournament on the WTA Tour in her professional career too.

Between 2005 and 2009, Nakamura played for the Japanese team in the Fed Cup.

Since its failure in qualifying at the U.S. Open 2012, she has competed more in any official tournament.
