Áine Brady

Áine Brady (Irish Áine Uí Bhrádaigh, born September 8, 1954 as Áine Kitt ) is an Irish politician ( Fianna Fáil ) and belonged from 2007 to 2011 the Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish Parliament, at.

In the elections in 2005 in the constituency of Kildare North Brady ran for Fianna Fáil, but lost Catherine Murphy. Only at the next regular election in May 2007, it was possible to beat her Murphy and to be elected to the 30th Dáil Éireann. In her role as deputy ( Teachta Dala ) was Brady April 2009 Minister of State in the Ministry of Health. Her responsibilities include seniors and health promotion. In the elections of 31 Dáil Éireann succeeded Catherine Murphy in February 2011, again to prevail against Brady.

Prior to her political career as a Member of Parliament, she was employed for 22 years at the Scoil na Mainistreach in Celbridge as a teacher and was also active in local politics in the County Kildare.

Brady is married to the former Member Gerry Brady and has four children. She is the daughter of the Irish politician Michael F. Kitt. Deputies Tom and Michael P. Kitt their brothers.
