Aiplspitz

The Aiplspitz is a 1,759 meter high mountain in the east of the Croda Rossa group Spitzingsee in the Bavarian Alps. It consists of Solnhofen, their eastern and northern slopes indicate significant Kare is registered for which the Aiplspitze as a valuable Geotop (No. 182OF003 ).

Name

In old maps and tour reports Aiplspitz was sometimes written Eibelspitz or Alplspitz. Its present name seen in different versions: the Aiplspitze that Aiplspitze, also the Aiplspitz. The native population in Leitzachtal used mainly the female form the Aiplspitz.

Peak increases

  • Normal: on the eastern ridge of the Krottenthaler Alm, not difficult.
  • Insured by the West ridge from Tanzeck, about 400 m long tightrope walk, two places. Sure-footedness and freedom required, not difficult, about 20 minutes. In wet places, muddy and therefore tricky.
  • About the North ridge, sure-footedness and freedom needed in places exposed a little, not a difficult rock climbing in the lower first difficulty. Approx. 45 min from the point 1600 m, where the paths from the Aurachtal and the Geitauer Alm reach the ridge. In wet places, muddy and therefore tricky.

Hiking trails

The Aiplspitz can be equal to climb from the four cardinal directions:

  • From the north: from Herzogenaurach at the easel over Benzingalm, Jägerkamp, Tanzeck and the W ridge, AV -way 641, 641a and 643, 1200 Hm, 3 ½ hours, not difficult, except for the W ridge.
  • Also from the north: from Herzogenaurach in easel on the north ridge, first AV path 641
  • From the east: from Brail at Osterhofen ( suburb of Bavarian Zell) over Geitauer Alpl and the north ridge, AV - way 643/B5. Until Geitauer Alpl there is a road, then a path to the start of the ridge.
  • Also from the east: from Brail on Krottenthaler ditch / Krottenthaler Alm ( AV path 644 ), then the O- ridge ( AV path 641 ) or Tanzeck and on the W ridge ( AV path 643 ). Until Krottenthaler Alm there is a road, then a footpath.
  • From the south: from the mountain station of Taubensteinbahn on Rauhkopf over to Tanzeck, then the W ridge.
  • From the west: from Spitzingsattel either Sommerweg ( no indications; later AV - way No. 641A ) over the Jägerkamp or winter walk (AV - way # 643 ) on Schönfeldalm, then to Tanzeck and on the W ridge.
