Air Central

Air Central (Japaneseエアー セントラル, Ea Sentoraru Kabushiki - gaisha ) was a Japanese airline based in Tokoname. She was a subsidiary of All Nippon Airways and operated regional targets from Chubu airport.

History

In 1953, the airline was founded as Nakanihon Air Service (NAS) and started operations on the Nagoya airport on. Nagoya Railroad and All Nippon Airways were the main shareholders. NAS specialized in flights in general aviation. Furthermore, were single charter flights, aerial photographs and helicopter flights offered.

On 12 May 1988, the subsidiary Nakanihon Airlines ( NAL) was established to offer flights to regional destinations. The company was located on the Nagoya airport. At the beginning of Nagoya Railroad had 55 % and All Nippon Airways 45% of the company. However, the proportion of ANA was increased until September 2006 to 86.7 %. Thus Nagoya Railroad has a share of 13.3 % at NAL. Flight operations started on 23 April 1991.

On 17 February 2007, the company was renamed Air Central and moved their operations to the Chubu airport. The flight plan was adapted to the flights of All Nippon Airways passengers of ANA and Star Alliance partners to allow the onward flight to regional destinations.

In June 2010, Air Central was dissolved and merged with two other regional companies of ANA, Air Next and Air Nippon Network to the new ANA Wings.
