Air India Express

Air India Express is an Indian low-cost airline based in Mumbai and based on the Mumbai airport. It is a subsidiary of Air India.

History

The airline was founded in March 2005 as a subsidiary of the state-owned Indian Air India. On 30 November 2006 she received her first new Boeing 737-800. Incidents

• On May 22, 2010 Air -India Express Flight 812, a Boeing 737-800 coming from Dubai shot, at Mangalore Airport while landing on the runway beyond. In the accident 158 people died.
• On 26 May 2010 was a young co-pilot bring down a Boeing 737-800 on a flight from Dubai to Pune 2,000 feet in depth, as he tried to adjust his seat and had accidentally fallen on the control column. The initially residing on the toilet pilot could intercept the machine even more by having entered the emergency code for the cockpit door. In the incident, no one was injured, some passengers panicked.
