Air Moorea

Air Moorea was founded in 1968, regional airline, shuttle flights from Faa'a International Airport in Papeete operation mainly for Temae Airport in Moorea. Demand flights were also flown to the archipelago of French Polynesia islands further away. In the year 2010, the Company adjusted the operation.

Incidents

  • On August 9, 2007, a DHC- 6 Twin Otter Air Moorea crashed shortly after taking off from Moorea airport into the sea. The machine was on his way to the neighboring island of Tahiti. This flight usually lasts only a few minutes. All 20 passengers died, among them two officers of the European Commission.
