History

Air Partner was founded in 1961. The seat was originally in Art Deco Beehive Terminal, Gatwick 's original terminal with grass runways. The core business initially comprised aviation training for military pilots who wanted to move into the field of civil aviation. For use came simulators and a fleet of beagles. The company then evolved further to the charter company with a fleet of Piper Chieftain, Piper Aztec, BAe 125 and Cessna Citation II and changed the name to Air London. The decision to focus on the charter business, fell in 1983.
