Air track

An air track, air track also, is a laboratory device for demonstrating largely friction- free movement. It consists of a rail over which the slider can move. By means of compressed air is established between the rail and the slider, an air cushion on which the slider floats over the rail. With the air track, for example, laws of classical mechanics can be examined.

A disadvantage of the web is that you build high precision required if accurate results are to be obtained. Therefore, simulations are sometimes used for teaching purposes.
