Air Traffic

Air Traffic is a British band from Bournemouth.

Band History

The group was formed in 2005 and rehearsed in a decommissioned aircraft hangar located near the airport Bournemouth. Since the signals of the Air Traffic Control could be heard through the amplifier of the band, they chose Air Traffic as a band name. In July 2006, the quartet released the first single on the independent label Fandango. The edition was 500 pieces. Shortly thereafter, the British producer David Kosten became aware of Air Traffic and took her for his belonging to EMI label Tiny consumer under contract. In March 2007 the band succeeded with the re-release of their debut single, Charlotte the first placement in the UK sales charts. A little later the first album Fractured Life, which listed like the other singles Shooting Star and No More Running Away in the charts. Because of the atypical for Britpop piano -heavy sound air traffic is compared with Muse.
