Aircalin

Air Calin is a New Caledonian airline based in Noumea. Your hub is the La Tontouta International Airport.

History

Air Calin was founded in September 1983 and adopted on 2 December 1983 in cooperation with Qantas and a Boeing 747 flying between Noumea and Melbourne. This service was later known as " le Caledonian Express" known. Later, the objectives Brisbane, Port Vila, Wallis and Futuna and Nadi were added by a Boeing 737-200 leased from Air Nauru. 1985 Caravelle 10B3 was procured. In 1987, added a Twin Otter, which was stationed for service in Wallis and Futuna in Wallis. 1988 Caravelle 10B3 was replaced by a Boeing 737. Between 1995 and 1996, a Douglas DC -10-30 was used for the service between Noumea, Brisbane and Papeete. In 1996, the new logo of Air Calin has been published. On 11 July 1996, a partnership agreement with Qantas was closed. Since 1997, a Boeing 767 is used in charter service. In March 2000, an Airbus A310 took to the air service to Osaka. Two Airbus A330-200s were ordered in 2001 and put the end of 2002 or beginning of 2003 in service. In February 2004, an Airbus A320 was purchased and has since between Noumea and Sydney in service.

The airline belongs to, among other things, 72 percent of Groupe Caisse d' Epargne to 27 percent of the Agence pour la Nouvelle Caledonie and desserts aerienne de to 1 percent of the workforce. It employed in March 2007 390 employees.
