Aircraft ground handling

(Also known as ground handling ) When the goods are all services related to the aircraft at the airport, including the loading of goods or persons preparing the necessary papers and documents for the transportation, supply of the aircraft operating and consumables etc.

Aircraft handling

When handling an aircraft is called in air traffic, the preparation of an aircraft for the next flight.

The individual steps of the clearance are dependent on whether the aircraft is provided for the first time that day or whether the aircraft is already in a round, that has already served on that day airports. Passenger check-in

Under clearance in passenger traffic refers to all customer contacts and services, ranging from checking the passenger for a flight (usually in the terminal building ) to the boarding of the aircraft. The Dispatch is carried out either by the airline itself or by a ground handling company ( handling agent ).

  • The handling of airline tickets
  • The check-in process, which can be of different technical and organizational measures ( for example, when day-before check -in, which allows passengers to give up their luggage the day before)
  • Rules of the seat assignment ( for example, consideration of places that are particularly suitable for disabled persons or for families with small children)
  • Handling of hand luggage
  • Limitations on the number, size and weight of luggage depending on the class of travel
  • Measures in case of delays ( for example, transfer rules, issue hotel vouchers, etc.)

Terminal building (Terminal )

Check-in desk

As check-in counter is called in air traffic the area where a passenger is checking into the terminal building for a flight. Busy this check-in counter is either by staff of the airline itself or by a dispatcher who provides all the services for the airline from the check of the passenger to the boarding of the aircraft by the passenger.

Handling company

As a dispatcher or handling company is called a service provider who provides the services for an airline from the check of the passenger in the terminal building until boarding the aircraft by the passenger. The Company receives for the provision of that settlement performance that is prescribed in detail in their exact process descriptions in the rule of the airline, in addition to a basic salary is dependent on the number of passengers check-in fee.
