Airman's Cross

The flyer cross was donated on 28 August 1941 by Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands in recognition of military personnel who show initiative in times of war, courage and endurance.

In particular, directors may also award to civilians and foreigners.

Appearance

The decoration is a silver Teutonic cross. The medallion is a flying eagle with the inscription Initiatief - Moed - Volharding (Initiative - Courage - Endurance ) to see and the year 1941. The back is smooth.

Carrying method

Worn will receive the award at a diagonal striped orange and white ribbon on the left chest.

Others

For repeated ceremony, a corresponding number of gold is applied to the tape.
