Aisey-et-Richecourt

Aisey -et- Richecourt is a commune in Haute -Saône in the Franche -Comté.

Geography

Aisey -et- Richecourt situated at an altitude of 258 m above sea level, 8 km north- northeast of Jussey and about 34 km north- northwest of the city of Vesoul (air line). The village is located in the northwestern part of the department, on a terrace between the valleys of the Saône and the Ruisseau des Vaux, at the southern foot of the hills of Bois Saint -Julien.

The area of ​​7.80 km ² municipal area includes a portion in the region of the upper Saônetals. The eastern boundary runs mostly along the Saone, which flows here through an approximately 1.5 kilometers wide Alluvialniederung to the southwest. The flood plain is on average 218 m and is used mainly for agricultural purposes. The river is channeled and developed for Waterway; section of Aisey -et- Richecourt is a lock works. Remnants of the old barrel with several small loops are present.

From the river, the municipality's area extends westward across the flood plain to the neighboring land, terrace Aisey and in the valley system of Bazeuille with their side stream Ruisseau des Vaux. The northern end are the wooded heights of the Bois Saint- Julien, on which 317 m is the highest point of Aisey -et- Richecourt is achieved. To the west of the municipality floor extends to the foothills of the ridge Donnet ( to 290 m). In geological- tectonic terms, the terrain consists of an alternation of sandy- marly and calcareous sediments that were deposited on the merits during the Lias ( Lower Jurassic ). The double municipality comprises the main town Aisey (258 m ) west of the country terrace of the Saône and the hamlet Richecourt (220 m) in the Saôneniederung. Neighboring communities of Aisey -et- Richecourt are Bourbévelle, Corre and Ranzevelle in the north, Ormoy in the east, the south and Betaucourt Villars -le- Pautel in the West.

History

Is first mentioned in 1172, Aisey, Richecourt in the year 1150th In the Middle Ages both villages belonged to the Free County of Burgundy and in the territory of the Bailliage d' amont. Attractions

The village church of Aisey was built in the 19th century in the Gothic Revival style. The Rectory dates from the 18th century. The Castle of Husson de Sampigny ( 18-19. Population

With 104 inhabitants ( 1 January 2011) Aisey -et- Richecourt is one of the small towns in the Haute- Saône. After the population had decreased significantly in the first half of the 20th century (1886 369 persons were still counted ), only small fluctuations were recorded since the early 1970s.

Economy and infrastructure

Aisey -et- Richecourt was until well into the 20th century a predominantly by agriculture ( farming, viticulture and animal husbandry ) and forestry embossed village.
